Dogpatch: A small neighborhood close to the waterfront in the eastern part of SF that escaped damage in the 1906 earthquake and fire. A post-industrial/semi-industrial area that's been "up and coming" for the last fifteen or twenty years & seems to be getting a lot of attention recently. Home to the Muni bus line and the headquarters of the Hell's Angels SF chapter. A designated historical district - sadly, not the place to find real estate bargains.
The streets are quiet now, but back in the day this was a bustling part of the city. You can learn more about Dogpatch here: The Story of Dogpatch
